We have 2 jobs as Americans:

ONE:

to TELL our elected leaders what we want, and 

TWO:

to VOTE to make sure they pass laws to make what we want happen. 

 

That's it.  Not much to ask really.  But if we do not do our jobs, our elected leaders cannot do theirs.  Our elected leaders will do what is necessary to keep getting elected, not necessarily what their constituents want.  For decades now our government--both local and federal--have been passing laws that erode our voting rights, our civil rights, our human rights to benefit the wealthiest of Americans and large corporations.  Why?  These monied interests will continue to donate to our legislators' election coffers and keep them in their jobs.

We all came out to vote in record numbers in 2020.  As a result, right now there are over 250 new laws being proposed across the country to make it harder or impossible to vote.  The monied interests are, once again, trying to make the individual American voter powerless, too insignificant to matter.   I mean "you can't fight City Hall" right?

WRONG! 

We ARE City Hall!  They work for us!  All of us, not just the wealthy or powerful.  However, unless we tell our elected leaders what we want and back it up with a vote, they will continue to work for their own self interest.
